YouTube to MP3 not working? What to check first
A failed download can happen at several stages. Start with the message on the screen, then use the matching checks below.
The link is not accepted
Paste a full YouTube video URL, including https://. A search result, channel page, song title, or playlist without a selected video is not the same as a video link. Open the specific video and copy its address again.
If the Paste button does nothing, your browser may not allow clipboard access. Click or tap the field and use the normal paste command instead.
The video is unavailable or restricted
Check whether the video still opens normally on YouTube. Removed videos, private uploads, regional restrictions, and sign-in requirements can prevent conversion. A video playing in your signed-in browser does not guarantee that Side A can access it.
Use a public video you have permission to download. Side A does not ask for your YouTube credentials, and you must not use it to bypass access restrictions or copy protection. Retrying cannot fix a removed video.
Conversion takes longer than expected
There are separate preparation, download, and conversion stages. Longer videos produce more audio to retrieve and process. The service may also be processing another task before yours.
A progress bar pausing during conversion does not necessarily mean the download has failed. Keep the page open and wait for a result or error. Repeatedly submitting the same link creates extra work rather than accelerating the first task.
The connection drops
Check your internet connection. If the result card is still available, try saving the MP3. Otherwise, start a new conversion. If the error persists, try again later or use another permitted video.
If several valid videos fail in the same way, the issue may be with the service or a change in YouTube’s delivery behavior. Changing the filename or choosing a different browser won’t necessarily solve that.
The preview will not play
Check your device volume and output device first. If the player reports a loading error, try saving the MP3 from the result card. You can also save the MP3 and open it in a compatible audio player to distinguish a browser playback problem from a file problem.
I clicked Save MP3 but cannot find the file
Open your browser’s Downloads list. It may show a completed download, a blocked download prompt, or a failed transfer. The save location is controlled by your browser and device settings. The filename is the value you entered under Save as, followed by .mp3.
I closed the page before saving
There is no saved download history. If your browser already downloaded the MP3, find it in its Downloads list. Otherwise, paste the video link and convert it again. Keep the page open until you have saved the file.
