FROM LINK TO LISTENING

How to download audio from a YouTube video

Have a video link and want an MP3? Here’s the complete Side A workflow, from copying the URL to finding your finished file.

Start with permission. Only download or convert audio you own or have permission to use. Public availability is not permission. Do not bypass access restrictions, copy protection, or sign-in requirements.

1. Copy the video link

Open the video on YouTube and copy its address, or use its Share menu to copy a link. Side A accepts YouTube and YouTube Music video URLs, including short youtu.be links. It needs a link, not a song name or search phrase.

If you arrived here searching for “free music downloads from YouTube video,” this is the distinction: Side A converts the audio from a video link you provide. It is not a searchable music catalogue.

2. Paste it into the converter

Open the YouTube-to-MP3 converter, paste your link into the labelled field, and choose Get my audio. If your browser blocks the Paste button, use its paste command or your keyboard shortcut.

A link with playlist or radio parameters processes only the selected video. You won’t download an entire playlist accidentally.

3. Let the conversion finish

Side A retrieves the best available source audio and converts it to a 320 kbps MP3. The status area shows progress through preparation, downloading, and conversion. Longer videos and slower connections can take more time, so there is no guaranteed completion time.

Keep the page open while you wait. If the connection drops, check your connection and try again. Save the result before leaving or refreshing the page.

4. Preview and choose a filename

When the result card appears, press play to check the finished MP3. The audio player lets you pause and seek. Below it, edit Save as if you prefer a shorter or clearer filename. The .mp3 extension is added for you.

Changing the filename doesn’t change the audio or automatically edit the artist and album tags inside the file. Names can include non-English characters; unsupported filename characters are removed when saved.

5. Save to your device

Select Save MP3. Your browser either saves to its configured download location or asks you to choose one. If the file isn’t obvious, open the browser’s Downloads list and select the completed item.

Keep your saved copy

Side A does not keep a download history. Save the MP3 to your device before leaving the page. If you need it again later, open your saved copy or convert the video again.
