How to download TikTok audio as MP3 or WAV
Want to save the sound from your own TikTok video, or a clip you have permission to use? Side A accepts a TikTok video link and prepares its audio for preview, trimming, and download. You can keep the full video audio or export just a selected section.
1. Copy a TikTok video link
Open the video in TikTok and use its Share menu to copy the link. You can also copy the video’s address from your browser. Side A accepts regular TikTok video URLs and short share links, including vt.tiktok.com and vm.tiktok.com.
Use a link to an individual video. A creator profile, sound-library page, search result, or photo post will not work. There is no need to find a different link just because TikTok gives you a shortened address.
2. Prepare the audio
Open Side A’s audio download tool, paste the link, and choose Get my audio. Keep the page open while the audio is prepared. If the Paste button cannot access your clipboard, paste directly into the input field using your browser’s normal paste command.
When the result appears, check its title and duration, then listen to the preview. The result contains the sound from that specific video: music, speech, and other sounds together. It does not isolate vocals, remove a voice-over, or retrieve the complete original song when the video contains only an excerpt.
3. Save the full audio as MP3 or WAV
Choose your Full track format, edit Save as if you want a clearer filename, and use the save button. “Full track” means all the audio in the submitted video, not the original song’s full length. Your browser saves the file to its download location or asks where to put it.
MP3 uses a 320 kbps output setting and is the smaller option for everyday listening. WAV is a larger 16-bit stereo file decoded from the prepared MP3. Neither format restores detail lost in the original recording or TikTok’s compression. Read our MP3 versus WAV guide if you are choosing a format for editing.
4. Trim a TikTok sound into a clip
Choose Trim audio to open the editor. Once the waveform is ready, drag its start and end handles to choose the section you want. Drag the middle of the selected area to move the entire clip without changing its length. You can also enter precise start and end times.
Adjusting the selection starts a preview. Use the play or pause control to check the cut and enable looping if you want to hear it repeatedly. Zoom into the clip for finer adjustments, particularly on a phone. Choose the clip’s MP3 or WAV format and download your selection. Trimming the prepared audio does not require another conversion request to the provider.
Why might a TikTok audio download fail?
First check that the link opens an available public video and that you have permission to download its audio. Deleted or restricted videos, unsupported post types, and temporary provider problems can prevent conversion. Side A supports videos up to 20 minutes, with additional file-size and processing limits.
The free service also shares a limit of 10 conversion requests per 10 minutes across YouTube and TikTok. Each visitor IP can make up to 10 attempts per hour. If you see a limit message, follow the retry guidance instead of repeatedly submitting the same link. Switching platforms does not reset the shared allowance.
Find and keep your download
On a phone, check your browser’s Downloads list or the device’s Files app. A saved audio file may not appear automatically in your music library. Save your copy before closing or refreshing Side A: there is no account or download history to reopen later.
Side A sends your submitted link to Samplecut for conversion and temporarily stores the prepared audio. Source metadata may appear on Samplecut’s public pages. See our privacy details for provider processing, temporary files, and the limited diagnostic records we keep.
